This piece was a study in using a strong contrast in primary colors. Over the years I've worked with numerous color palettes. Most of these are fairly subdued or featured lighter hues. Others, as you would expect from the fractals of the 70's era, are quite loud and gaudy.
Border Crossing signified a new challenge for me. Working with such strong reds and blues was very invigorating. I even snuck in a little yellow, my least favorite color. You'll notice too, that there are several hues of blue as I felt these helped to create a more cohesive mix of shape and color.
